Matariki Fireworks Night

Last night, I went to the New Brighton Beach to see the Matariki Fireworks. But then, something distracted us during the walk. It was warm and it was bright. Smoke came out of the flames. I could see some delicious foods. It was a Camp Fire BBQ. The Camp Fire caught my attention. We asked the people there if we can join in and they generously let us. I ate some of those type of bread called Dumping. Yum! It was delicious. I even got smoke in my eyes when I was cooking the Dumping. First, we had to grab a Bamboo Stick from the side. Next, the people told me to bring the stick over to a lady. They told me that she would wrap the Dumping dough around the Bamboo stick. Then, we had been told to put the Dumping dough on top of the fire, turning it around and around because if you don't follow the instruction, it will not cook evenly and burn on one side! So what's your choice? My decision was to follow the instruction, better and safer. When it was ready to eat, a guy suggested me to put some strawberry jam on it to make it taste better. I put some jam on my Dumping and it was very delicious indeed. So I made my second Dumping on fire again after I finished my first one. It was something I had never done or tasted before. So I had an amazing night last night watching the fireworks, standing by the camp fire on the beach and cooked some breads for snack last night.
