Yesterday, at school, in Room 5 and 6, we had a school trip. We went back to the old times which was 100 years ago. That was in Ferrymead Heritage Park. Ferrymead Heritage Park is a place where every single thing hadn´t change from the old times and I thought it was so small that it surprised me when I got there. Ferrymead was the place we had for the school trip. I called it an adventure. First, we went on the school bus because you can´t go anywhere out the school without a school bus, can´t you? After that, we got off the bus because we had to split into teams with a parent and we had to walk for a long way through the Ferrymead Heritage Park together. Before we started our long joureny, we went to a place where everybody had to change in the old times uniform. the girls uniform were beautiful dresses. The boys uniforn didn't really change that much with the look from the old times and now. The boys uniform were a cap, a grey shirt with a pair of knee length long shorts. We first went to a house to learn to do some houseworks like washing, ironing, sweeping floor, tidying room and washing dishes. After we finished the houseworks, we went to a hardware store to learn how people buy things from shop in the old time. Our third destination was the cookie shop, in there we learnt how to make cookie and saw a big giant oven. We also got a chance to make a cookie for ourselves to take with us later on that day. Our last place to visit was the school, the school in the old time was very different from our school now, very strict with the teacher, annoyed with the ink pens because they are very messy and the ink easily get on your hand, boring because if I chitchat with my friends I would get strapped. I feel so lucky that I am at New Brighton Catholic School in New Zealand as I am not living in the past.
